3-Day Maintenance Planned for I-85 Ramp in Gaston County

KINGS MOUNTAIN  – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a ramp on Interstate 85 in Gaston County for three days to perform daytime road maintenance.

The I-85 Southbound ramp to U.S. 74 (Exit 10B), going toward Shelby, will be closed daily between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. from Feb. 23-25 for asphalt repairs.

Southbound traffic on the interstate will be detoured past Exit 10 to Exit 8 (Highway 161/York Road) to access U.S. 74. 

Motorists should use caution while traveling near the work zone and expect some delays.
