1. Why do we need a CHA?

The CHA is an important tool used to understand a community's health status and needs.  Required for the NC Public Health Accreditation, this process identifies health needs, develop improvement strategies, allocate resources, and monitor progress over time. 

2. How is the CHA done?

The CHA gathers data from a variety of sources including the state health department, and other state and national resources to assess the health needs of Gaston County. Analysis of this data allows county leadership to make the best possible decisions regarding programs and funding opportunities.
