Hien Tran is the Deputy County Auditor of the Gaston County Internal Audit Department. He is a North Carolina native from Raleigh and holds a Master of Accountancy from UNC-Charlotte, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UNC-Chapel Hill, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.
He joined Gaston County in August 2021 after five years with the City of Charlotte (3 years in Internal Audit and 2 years in Financial Reporting). Prior to joining local government, he worked in public accounting for four years, specializing in tax and audit for privately-held, mid-sized companies.
