Kyle is the County Auditor and Director of the Gaston County Internal Audit Department. Kyle is from Shelby, NC and holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He joined Gaston County in November 2019 as its first County Auditor after spending 7 years as a Senior Internal Auditor with the City of Charlotte. Prior to joining local government, he worked in public accounting for two years, specializing in tax and audit for mid-sized, privately held companies.
Kyle is an active member of the Association of Local Government Auditors (ALGA) and has been a Knighton Award Judge, served on a peer review team, and was a member of the ALGA Conference Planning Committee.
