Key Metrics September 28, 2020
We will likely see many COVID outbreaks and clusters in businesses, schools, childcare centers, and congregate care facilities in the coming months. Gaston DHHS is highly engaged in each outbreak and works with the facility to help them follow CDC and NCDHHS guidance around cleaning and disinfecting, isolation protocols, and communication with employees and others impacted by the outbreak (like the families of residents at a long-term care facility). Additionally, our communicable disease staff will work with contact tracers to ensure contacts are notified and receive referral and follow-up information.
Gaston DHHS will use appropriate channels to notify the public of outbreaks and clusters that may impact their health in order to protect our community.
