Gaston County Department of Health and Human Services – Social Services Division is seeking
quotes from qualified firms to provide Interpreting and written translation services during
normal business hours, after-hours, and weekends. Languages included American Sign Language, Spanish, Haitian Creole, French Creole, French, Vietnamese, and Hmong. Quotes may include some or all of the following service components:
• Telephone Interpretation/Translation
• On-Site Interpretation/Translation
• In-Home Interpretation/Translation
• Written Translation/Interpretation of Documents
• Video Translation/Interpretation
Independent ASL interpreting contractors must possess and maintain a valid NC
Interpreter/Transliterator License. Agency ASL interpreting Contractors must provide
interpreters who possess and maintain valid NC Interpreter/Transliterator Licenses. Both
independent and agency ASL interpreting contractors are expected to follow and uphold the
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf “Code of Professional Conduct”.
