How can I protect myself from STIs?

STIs can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact and contact with bodily fluids. Some ways to protect yourself are:

  • Using a condom or dental dam (for oral, vaginal, and rectal sex)
  • Vaccination: there are vaccines that protect against some strains of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and Hepatitis A & B
  • PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis): is a medication that can reduce your risk of getting HIV.

If you are interested in starting PrEP call Kintegra at: 833-237-7737

  • Limiting your number of sex partners
  • Abstinence
