On Saturday, July 29th, 2023 at about 6:20pm the Gaston County Police responded to a residence in the 2700 block of Lakefront Dr. Belmont, NC in reference to a missing person. Brianne Maurine Fry, age 26, was reported missing by family members. Fry was last seen about 2:00am on Friday, July 28, 2023.
On Sunday, July 30, 2023 a search of the area around Fry’s residence was conducted. After an extensive search throughout the day, detectives with the Criminal Investigations Unit located Fry’s body in Lake Wylie at about 7:45pm. No foul play is suspected at this time.
