Notary Applications

The Register of Deeds office administers notary public oaths for Gaston County notaries anytime between the hours of 8:30 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Also, the office has a variety of notary forms available to the General public, including reappointment and change of Name/Change of Address.

For anyone wishing to become a notary in North Carolina they must attend a course of instruction at a Community College. (Attorney's are exempt from the requirement of attending a course of instructions) Information and registration for this class can be obtained from the Continuing Education Department of each community college.
