Our appointment scheduling process has changed. Visits are now by appointment with the following schedule:
- Immunization appointments are available Monday - Friday 8 - 11:00AM and 1 - 4:00PM.

Please bring your immunization records and insurance card with you to your appointment.
Vaccines cannot be given if you are currently sick. Please call to reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing a fever or other signs / symptoms of illness.
Immunizations
Vaccines for infants, children, and adults are available at the Health Department. Please call if you have questions about a specific vaccine.
Many of our vaccines are covered by private insurance plans. Children may receive some shots free of charge; others will have a fee. To be eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program, the child must be 18 years or younger and meet at least one of the following requirements.
- Medicaid-eligible Childhood shots are given at the Health Department.
- Uninsured
- American Indian
- Alaskan native
- Underinsured (private insurance coverage does not include vaccines)
- Unaccompanied minor without proof of insurance
Vaccines are required for children entering Kindergarten, 7th, and 12th grade. Learn more about North Carolina Required School Immunizations.
Rabies Prevention
Pre-exposure vaccines for veterinary techs and boosters for veterinarians and animal handlers are available in clinic for a fee. Please call 704-853-5009 for details.
Influenza Prevention
Flu shots are available from October to May. Please call for more information.
COVID-19 Prevention
Pfizer is available for individuals 6 months and older. Moderna is available for people 18 or older. We also have the new bivalent boosters.
