Update to Bombs Found in Ranlo
On Friday, October 21, 2011, authorities were notified of a possible explosive device located in a wooded area on the eastside of Ranlo off E. Long Avenue. A search of the area revealed an object that was consistent with military-type ordinance from the Vietnam War era.

Police Chase Ends in Crash
The Gaston County Police responded to a break-in call of a residence located at 5019 Wild Wing Dr. in the Crowders Creek area. The caller stated there were two black males in a cream colored minivan removing items from the house.

On Monday, September 19th, 2011 the Gaston County Police Department Animal Control Division received a call from Ms. Judy Waters of Bessemer City who reported a skunk had attacked her son’s dog. Ms. Waters’ brother-in-law killed the skunk and Ms. Waters contacted Animal Control.
