Gaston-Lincoln Regional Library Receives Brownstone Book Fund Gift
The Gaston-Lincoln Regional Library has received a gift of one hundred children’s books for preschool and early readers from the Book Fund of the Brownstone Family Foundation, a private non-profit foundation based in New York City.
Call for Stories - Whiskey & Gaston County
The Gaston County Museum is looking for stories about whiskey production in Gaston County during prohibition. In the fall of 2012, the Museum will be opening an exhibit telling the history of whiskey in our area and we would like to hear from the descendants of people who were involved in any way with the making and distribution of whiskey during that time.

Update to Bombs Found in Ranlo
On Friday, October 21, 2011, authorities were notified of a possible explosive device located in a wooded area on the eastside of Ranlo off E. Long Avenue. A search of the area revealed an object that was consistent with military-type ordinance from the Vietnam War era.

Police Chase Ends in Crash
