On 02/16/2012 at 10:12 pm the Gaston County Police Communications Center received a 911 call in reference to a storage building fire behind the residence of 217 Thornburg Rd Dallas, NC. When emergency workers arrived the building was fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews located a deceased male inside the building, while extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire and the identity of the male found inside are still under investigation. The Gaston County Police Department and the Gaston County Fire Marshal’s Office are conducting the investigation.
