County Police Seize Large Quantity of Methamphetamines
On Thursday January 24th, 2019 the Gaston County Police Department arrested Careen Lee Harrell following a traffic stop. The traffic stop occurred near Cherryville. Ms. Harrell’s license were revoked. A search of the vehicle revealed 13 ounces of methamphetamines, 2 ounces of marijuana, 10 hydrocodone pills, 2 clonazepam pills and a large sum of cash. Ms. Harrell also had a pistol in the vehicle. Ms. Harrell’s criminal history includes convictions for felony crimes.
Ms. Harrell was arrested and charged with the following:
Driving While License Revoked
Possession of a Firearm by Felon
Level Three Trafficking in Methamphetamines
Felony Possession of Marijuana
Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana
Maintain a Vehilce for Selling Controlled Substances
Simple Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance
Simple Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Ms. Harrell was previously arrested on November 30th, 2018 in Lincoln County for being an absconbder from Probation & Parole.
Ms. Harrell is currently in the Gaston County Jail under a $500,000 secured bond.
