CHUCK STARR is the Safety & Workers' Compensation Coordinator for Gaston County, North Carolina. He is responsible for implementing and enforcing a comprehensive safety program for the County’s 1,600 employees. This includes coordinating training on a variety of OSHA and safety related rules and regulations, inspecting work areas to assure compliance with safety policies and procedures, and making recommendations for improvement of the work environment. He is also responsible for coordinating the County’s Workers’ Compensation Program. Prior to his current position, Chuck served as the Program and Staff Development Administrator for the County.
