Animal Control

From Bow to Wow

Not all shelter animal stories have a sad end. In fact, there are many dogs and cats adopted into loving homes who spend their remaining days with families that dote on them and tend to their every four-legged (and in some cases less) desire. We'd like to share some of these stories of adoption from our facility with you...

  • This dog was picked up as a stray in November of 2010. Holiday wishes were filled when the dog was adopted in December by Elizabeth Melton. Elizabeth named the dog “Dobie”.
  • Stephanie Turner adopts a cat...
  • Big Girl Natalie is pictured here, very thankful to be going home with rescue representative Mary Mac.
  • Angela and Alan Scott waited very patiently until Animal Control opened to adopt this sweetie.
  • Cat #6522 came to the shelter as a stray. Lucille Nielsen gave him his forever home when she adopted him on 10/29/10.
  • This man adopted his "best friend" Beagle and brought him back for a visit.
