Join us on Saturday September 14, 2013 from 10am to 1pm at the High Shoals VFD located at 110 Thompkins St. High Shoals for an Operation Child I.D. and an Operation Medicine Cabinet Event.
The Operation Child I.D. event will allow parents and guardians to bring their child and have a Child I.D. kit completed, to include fingerprinting, which will provide them with quick and easy access to information should their child become missing, abducted, or runs away. This event and Child I.D. kit are provided free of charge.
An Operation Medicine Cabinet Event will also be held as well. Operation Medicine Cabinet, a trademarked program of Home Instead Senior Care, provides seniors with a safe way to dispose of expired or no longer used prescription and over the counter medications. No questions will be asked during the event. Gaston County Police officers will be on hand to oversee the collection of medications, which will be stored in locked containers. After the event, officers will take all of the medications and dispose of them properly.
Members of the High Shoals VFD will also be on hand to provide parents and children with fire safety information and activities for children.
For more information Officer T.K. Crosby or Officer Chad Owens at (704) 866-3320.
