On 09/14/2012 the Gaston County Police Department obtained warrants on two individuals in reference to vandalisms that occurred on 07/18/2012 and 08/11/2012 at the Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery at 800 N. 13th St Bessemer City, NC. Damages to the cemetery were in excess of $6,000.00. Joshua Aaron Kimray (8/1/89 of Gastonia) was charged with one count of Felony Desecration of a Grave and Michael Dennis Fitzgibbons (10/9/86 of Bessemer City) was charged with two counts of Felony Desecration of a Grave. A juvenile male was also involved in the 8/11/2012 incident and will be charged at a later date in Juvenile Court.
Based on the information obtained in this investigation warrants for First Degree Burglary and Felony Larceny were also obtained for Kimray and Fitzgibbons. Those charges are related to a residential burglary that occurred on 07/18/2012 at 902 N. 12th St Bessemer City, NC.
