On 06/01/2012 the Gaston County Police arrested Patrick Brandon Hinson (6/11/88) for possession of stolen property related to a motor vehicle theft ring investigation that spans both North and South Carolina. The ongoing investigation involves the Gaston County Police, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Auto Theft Unit, North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles License and Theft Bureau, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department and the North Carolina Insurance Bureau. Hinson currently has fifteen (15) pending charges including the two (2) stemming from the arrest on 6/1/12.
Hinson is currently being held at the Gaston County jail on a $30,000.00 secured bond and a probation hold.
The investigation into the motor vehicle theft ring is still ongoing.
