Please join Gaston County Parks and Recreation as we celebrate the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of George Poston Park Phase 2. The Grand Opening will be held at 10 am on Saturday, April 14. George Poston Park is located at 1101 Lowell-Spencer Mountain Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.
George Poston Park Phase 2 includes an eleven acre lake, large fishing pier, two picnic shelters, a sand volleyball court, walking paths, and additional parking. The new facilities will complement existing park facilities which include four softball/baseball fields, four soccer fields, a horseshoe complex, playground, an off-leash dog park, and eight miles of biking/hiking trails. George Poston Park has a total of 350 acres.
